Old Hobbies Die Hard

Ok, so I found out how to add pictures at least four at at time. Three of these are pictures of the truck I used to own. The last one is of a kitten who fell asleep in his food. There's no relation. I only had three pictures of my truck and just thought it looked odd so I had to find something else to put in there. (and since this post will probably alienate most girls- the kitten should provide some cuteness as compensation). Edit: even though I had the pictures in a 2 by 2 layout, they reverted to vertical for some reason- but I'll still leave the kitten there. I've had two trucks similar to this but this is the bigger one and probably my favourite. The pictures probably don't really do it justice. For the people who like some detail, it is/was a '75 Jimmy which had its body replaced by a pickup truck cab. What's left is a very short pickup truck. It has 40 x 17 inch tires with a custom body lift. There is a snow-plow mount on the front, air-tank in the custom rear tube bumper, removable rear mud-flaps (taken off in the mud shots). 4.10 gears in the 1-ton axles. Stock 305 Chevy small block out of an old Grand Prix. It had no inner front fenders which allowed changing spark plugs without opening the hood. It was the ultimate play truck and my daily driver for a couple of years, definitely one-of-a-kind. I eventually lost the truck when the person whose farm I was storing it at "sold it for me".

Last one for the day

Here's one of the only pictures I can seem to find of me that's semi-close-up and not a crowd of people. This is me and a buddy- he's kinda famous. You may have seen him in one of his three fairly well-known movies. He was hanging out at the office on my birthday so we took a picture. Please excuse the angle of the shot. I have fired that camera-man and hired a new one who doesn't suffer from vertigo and isn't otherwise vertically challenged. I'll try to edit/rotate/crop the picture later...

So, is this the only way to add pictures?

Well, that went pretty smoothly. Here's another picture of me with some of the guys (and girl) from the local volunteer Fire Department I'm on. This was taken at a parade in the summer of 2006. I'm the guy sort of in the middle with the white-ish shirt on. It was about 100 degrees so hopefully you'll excuse us for not being in full turnout gear :). Ok, just figured out I can add more than one picture at a time- so there's two...

Since I don't know what else to do, I'll post some more current pictures of me in thrilling and exciting poses. Here's me standing outside a fairly historic establishment in Thunder Bay, Ontario. I'm not trying to look like a bouncer, but this was a family visit and my mom wanted me in with some local scenery- so I went to "go stand over there".

What's a Blog?- Guess I'll find out when I'm done :)

Everyone seems to have one, so It must be cool :). So here's mine. We'll see how it goes. I think I'll put up random pictures or something. So far I'm discovering I don't have a lot of current pictures of myself that aren't in groups or far away, but it's a start.
